New Registrations
Applicants may register:
- When supervisors are in session;
- During the town clerks posted office hours;
- On any election day (not at town or school deliberative meetings).
Applicants must:
- Show proof of residency (drivers license, auto registration, utility bill, etc.);
- Be 18 years of age (a person may register to vote when he or she is age 17, as long as they will be 18 years old by the day of the next election). A birth certificate or drivers license will be required.
- Naturalization papers may be requested of a naturalized citizen. Applicant can prove citizenship by presenting any one of the following: birth certificate, passport, naturalization papers, citizenship affidavit or any other reasonable document indicating the applicant is a United States citizen.
Change of Party
A registered voter may change his or her party affiliation any time the supervisors are in session, except between the first day of the filing period for a state primary or presidential primary up to the day of the primary election.
Corrections
Registered voters may request corrections of name or address during supervisor sessions, election days or during the town clerk’s posted office hours.
