THE BUILDING INSPECTOR'S OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED
ON MONDAY, MAY 27, 2013 IN OBSERVANCE OF MEMORIAL DAY.
Inspections require 24 hour notice.
Certificate of Occupancy inspections require 48 hours notice
Test Pit inspections require 48 hour notice.
The Building Department administers, interprets, and enforces the provisions of the building code as adopted by the Town, State and Federal regulations that make provisions for building. These codes are the ICC Building Code, ICC Residential Code, ICC Plumbing Code, ICC Energy Code, ICC Mechanical Code, NFPA Electrical Code, and NFPA Life Safety Code 101, NFPA Fire Protection Code, Federal ADA Regulations and other codes and regulations as adopted by the Town, State of NH or US Federal Government. The office issues all building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical permits, septic system design review including test pits, and demolition permits. The Building Department also works with the Planning and Zoning Boards as well as other Town Departments in administration of the Towns needs.
