Proposed New Fire Station

Location: Intersection of Stage Road (Rte 152) and Priest Road on a 3-acre lot subdivided from the existing Nottingham Elementary School lot. All permits for construction, subdivision, Wetlands and septic system design are completed. Deed to transfer the property to the Town will be completed in the very near future.
Size of building: Proposed 80’ x 110’ which is made up of office spaces 30’x 30’ and eight (8) bays in an 80’ x 80’ area with eight (8) 14’x 14’ overhead doors in the Bay area.
Bollards at all vehicle doors inside and outside.
Future expansion capability for an additional 80’x 80’ bay area
Type of building: Steelway steel building with 4-foot concrete wall base
Six-inch thick 4,000-psi concrete slab on grade floor for bay area
Four-inch thick 3,000-psi concrete slab for office area
Well and septic system to accommodate current and anticipated future needs
Apparatus Bays:
Heating: Radiant heat in the floor of the bays
Floor drains:
Eight (8) 10” trench drains (one length at each door). These will be connected to a
ZURN (grease interceptor) oil/water separator or equivalent.
Vehicle exhaust system piped for all apparatus bays. Each bay will have an exhaust connection, which will be hooked up to the truck in that bay. The connections automatically pull off as the truck leaves the station.
Interior 2000 cfm exhaust fan for exhausting the bays in hot weather
Vehicle Air system:
Compressed air piping for truck air systems
Electrical drops at each bay or between bays
Water: Two exterior water connections
Office Area:
Training Room-(28’7” x 22’5”) with electrical and data connections, one clear wall for AV presentation screen or materials
Modern kitchen in conjunction with the training room

One 12’x 12’ Office
One 12‘x 12’ conference room
One 12’x 15’ “radio room” for office for full-time staff
Medical Supply room 9’ x 12’ with connection for medical charging equipment and supplies as well as medical reporting computer connection

Men and women’s bathrooms
Shower room and locker space
Allowance for future gear washer and dryer
Forced hot water heat with full HVAC system (proposed at time of writing)
Mezzanine storage space above office area (28’7” x 78’)
Emergency generator 30-35 kW with automatic transfer switch and 100-amp emergency sub panel
Three phase 400-amp service to building; with 200-amp panel and conduit for future 200-amp panel
