2010 - Nottingham Recreation's Summer Camp is for youth going into grades 1 - 4. All area youth are welcome to attend our day camp where they will enjoy tons of fun and adventure every day!
Our activities include:
SPORTS AND GAMES – An assortment of games and sports, varying from dodge ball and camouflage to Indiana Jones Tag and Simon Says rounds out every day. In addition, team building games teach participants about each other in a fun and positive way.
TIE DYEING – A variety of colors along with ample plastic gloves will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring tee-shirts and other things they wish to dye.
ART – Anything goes in this art class as we work with clay, paint, found objects, and more!
NATURE – Nature walks and interesting experiments with things you can find in your own backyard abound in the nature studies we will be doing this summer!
MUSIC & STORIES – Entertainment on Fridays includes musicians, storytellers and animals. Check out the schedule below!
GARDENING – Learn about the care of plants, composting, landscaping and how important plants and trees are to our ecosystem.
BEACH – At the town beach you will participate in swim lessons, have free swim time and do arts and crafts weather permitting. Our Wednesday trips take us to state parks and the ocean occasionally.
COOKING – Join us as we whip up some scrumptious desserts balanced out by learning about what you eat when we review the food pyramid and talk about healthy eating.
