Nottingham Day
September 19, 2009
(rain date September 19, 2010)

Nottingham Day is an annual celebration sponsored by the Nottingham Day Committee and the Recreation Department. Local crafters, businesses, and organizations set up outside at the Elementary School on Rt 152 where they give out information about their organization, enjoy some community-wide publicity, and sell crafts, food, and other great stuff. There is also an auction and a variety of games for young and old alike will accompany entertainment throughout the day, with a chicken barbeque finishing the festivities.

Nottingham Day begins with a fun run at 9:00 am with booths opening at 10:00 am and continuing until the barbeque starts at 4:00 pm. Admission is free; tickets for the barbeque will be on sale as the date gets closer.

The raffle prize is yet to be determined. Tickets are $5 each and only 250 tickets will be sold. Tickets will be on sale in the summer right up through Nottingham Day and can be bought at various community functions; the raffle itself will take place on Nottingham Day. Buy a ticket and support a great event - and maybe even win!

For organizations participating in Nottingham Day, you can reserve a 10 x 10 exhibit space for $15 on or before July 1 or $25 after July 1 on a first come, first served basis. Booths that are purely informational and generate no revenue are free of charge. Set-up is from 7:30-9:30 am, and break-down starts at 4:00 pm.
Registration forms are available here (pdf) or by calling the Recreation Department.
