Trailblazers
2008
Trailblazers is a program for area youth going into grades 7 - 9. Trailblazers get to give something back to the community they live in and have fun doing it, plus go on weekly trips throughout New Hampshire!
Participants do a variety of community service projects in payment for weekly trips. This program works best when everyone participates full time rather than part time. Large projects are determined by the participants during the first week while smaller weekly projects can include maintaining the playground, keeping the beach and boat launch clean on a regular basis and improving the grounds around town buildings. Bigger projects are decided on at the beginning of each summer by participants and staff. The Trailblazer program emphasizes team building through sports, rock climbing, and other activities such as preparing a luncheon for senior citizens. Cost of Friday trips is included in the weekly cost of the program as long as the participant comes to two out of the three project days, and also attends team building day. Participants should
bring a lunch, two snacks, plenty to drink, a change of clothes, bathing suit, towel and sunscreen. Please label all clothing and personal items.
Schedule:
Trailblazers meet from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, with before and after care available in conjunction with the summer camp. (8:00–9:00 am and 3:30–5:30 pm)

July 11 - Cocheco Valley Humane Society/Ice Cream Social/Staff Talent Show - 9 am-3:30 pm - $30.00
July 18 - Vertical Dreams - 9 am-3:30 pm - $35.00
July 25 - Canobie Lake - 9 am-7pm - $35.00
August 1 - Canoeing - 9 am-3:30 pm - $30.00
August 8 - Lee USA Speedway - 9 am-3:30 pm - $30.00
August 15 - Hampton Beach State Park - 9 am-3:30 pm - $30.00
August 22 - Water Country - 9 am-5:30 pm - $35.00
Most trips leave at 9:00 am and return by 3:30 pm or later, (as noted above - no charge for early departures or late returns) depending on trip.
