Gravel Pit Policy
TOWN OF NOTTINGHAM OWNS AND OPERATES AN ACTIOVE GRAVEL PIT OFF SMOKE STREET. IN ORDER TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF TOWN EMPLOYEES AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC THE FOLLOWING POLICY IS ENACTED.
• The Gravel Pit is off-limits to the General Public. The erection of No Trespassing Signs per the Provisions of RSA 635:4 will be posted.
• The erection of Jersey Barriers at non-authorized entrances will take place to prohibit entry.
• The erection of a Steel entrance gate off Smoke Street will take place.
• Keys will be issued the following agencies. Police, Fire, & Highway Departments. Tasker Realty Development LLC who retains mineral rights will be issued a key. Issuance of all other keys will be based upon approval of the Board of Selectmen.
• Nottingham Police & fire Departments will have use of the Gravel Pit for training, when mineral operations by the Highway Department are not taking place.
