Policy on Salt and Sand at Town Garage
The Board of Selectmen adopted the following policy on February 9, 2004 regarding removal of salt and sand from Town property.
• Removal and or use of salt from Town property by residents is NOT allowed.
• The removal and use of sand in small amounts by residents is acceptable. Use in sanders or for commercial purposes is prohibited. Residents with long driveways are advised to hire private contractors.
• Residents are not to interfere with Highway Department personnel and equipment that are working at the Town Highway Garage.
