2023 Community Needs Assessment

The Nottingham Parks and Recreation Department has launched an internal Comprehensive Recreational Needs Study project to gather relevant information from the residents of Nottingham, New Hampshire. The Parks and Recreation department seeks to understand how residents utilize the town’s recreational facilities and programs, assess whether existing recreation facilities and programs are meeting the needs of the community and project trends in future recreational amenities, in order to define a comprehensive plan for the future of Nottingham.  

The scope of the project includes: 

• Data collection and analysis. This includes review of current inventory existing in programs and facilities, demographics, and current parks and recreation trends. 
• Public Engagement: Workshops and online community surveys 
• Needs Assessment: recommendations for improved facilities and programmatic needs of the community. 
• Final Report
