Highway Department

The Nottingham Highway Department maintains over 70 miles of town-owned roads.  In addition to road surface maintenance, they plow and sand, clear roadside brush, and perform major repairs and reconstruction of a portion of roads each summer.  The department supports operations at the Recycling Center and other town lands and facilities, and maintains a fleet of dump truck/plows, front-end loader, grader, and utility pickup trucks.  The town owns a gravel pit on Smoke Street, and a Highway garage on Flutter Street.
