Come join the Nottingham Generals Youth Wrestling Program- Boys and Girls Welcome! Coach Jared and Coach Ricky are committed to teaching folk style wrestling. Our wrestlers learn the fundamentals of wrestling while building self-confidence, mental toughness, teamwork, physical fitness and personal responsibility. Nottingham Parks & Rec- CO-ED NFL FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE 

 

K-6th Grade, (August-October) Games on Saturdays, Marston Farm Recreational Area, 229 Mill Pond Rd., Nottingham NH 03290

Preregistration required, $95 (Registration opens 6/27/2022)

 

The league consists of Nottingham, Barrington, Northwood, Deerfield, and Strafford. Participants will recieve (1) reversible NFL Flag Core Jersey in an assigned NFL team, as well as (1) Official NFL Flag Belt. Participants will be able to purchase Nottingham "Rec League" apparel upon registration. Come Join, it is a blast!! 

 

Nottingham Parks & Rec- Veteran's Day Flag Football Turkey Bowl

There will be food, football, good friends and so much more, you won't want to miss this ONE DAY event! Anyone can participate, even if they missed out on the Flag Football Season. 

 

 

Nottingham Parks & Rec- Counselor in Training

 

7-12th Grade, (TBD), 139 Stage Rd. Nottingham, NH 03290

Preregistration required (Coming back in 2023!)

 

This program is designed to help youth transitioning into the job world learn the appropriate skills to succeed in a work environment. Participants will learn about the counselor role, working with others, working with kids, activity execution, and general proper work etiquette. They will learn new games and tactics to perform with kids/campers by participating in the activity itself. Participants will be educated on Nottingham Parks and Recreation Core Values: teamwork, respect, brave, motivation, and safety. This class does not guarantee a job with Nottingham Parks and Recreation but is suggested for those who are interested. At the end of the program participants will walk away with a certificate of proof of course completion. Certification may not be guaranteed if classes are missed. 

 

Nottingham Parks & Rec- AFTER SCHOOL CARE

 

K-8th Grade, Monday-Friday 2:30PM-5:30PM, Nottingham Elementary School, 245 Stage Rd., Nottingham, NH 03290

Preregistration required. (Registration opens 7/12/2022)

 

NP&R's After Care philosophy is to provide our community with a safe place that encourages participants to make good choices, free play and enjoy structured games and activities after school. We are so happy to be back in action and provide this service to the town of Nottingham. This program fills up fast, so make sure to mark the calendar! Participants will have the opportunity to get their homework done, socialize, with their friends and have a blast while they wait for their guardians to get out of work. 

 

In order to make this program happen, we need staff!! Please spread the word to anyone who might be interested in picking up a shift or two with our awesome team!  

 

 

Nottingham Parks & Rec- Days @ the Rec

 

K-6th Grade, (TBD) 8:00AM-4:00PM, 139 Stage Rd. Nottingham, NH 03290

Preregistration required. (Due to low staff, this program will not be offered in 2022)

 

Days at the Rec are for days when the school has teacher workshops, or parent conferences. We provide fun, engaging activities from 8AM-4PM on these days. Drop off will be at the Community Center Gym doors. Please make sure you send your child with a refillable water bottle, two snacks and a lunch, a change of clothes, and prepared for the weather of the season.

 

 

Nottingham Parks & Rec- February and April Vacation Camps

 

K-6th Grade, (2/22/2022-2/25/2022 AND 4/25/2022-4-29/2022) 8:00AM-5:00PM, 139 Stage Rd. Nottingham, NH 03290

Each group will rotate through our 4 enrichment programs throughout day- Team Sports, Lifetime Activities, Arts and Crafts, and Nature.

Summer Camp is moving back to the Community Center, and we are so excited! Campers will enjoy in house specialty days, field trips, beach days (depending on lifeguard availability) and visits to the Blaisdell Memorial Library. Each group will rotate through our 4 enrichment programs throughout the camp day- Team Sports, Lifetime Activities, Arts and Crafts and Nature. 

 

*NEW there are NO daily/part time rates available this year due to staffing shortages. Payments will be made monthly. Half of your invoice MUST be paid by August 1. Specialized payment plans must be requested. Scholarships are available. Please reach out to recreation2@nottingham-nh.gov for more information. 

 

 

Snapology S.T.E.A.M CAMPS

 

Incoming 1st -6th Grade, Town Hall (Conference Room 1), 139 Stage Rd., Nottingham, NH 03290

Week 1: Poke-Mainia, $179

June 27-July 1, 9:00AM-12:00PM 

 

Campers will build and explore the world of Pokémon as they create their own gyms, battles, and even their very own generation of Pokémon. Campers will also learn about real world science as they learn about the habitats of the Pokémon. They will have a blast becoming the best Pokémon trainer ever. 

 

Week 1: Building Basics, $179

June 27-July 1, 1:00PM-4:00PM 

 

Travel to the Nether with Snapology but watch out for those creepers! Campers will bring Minecraft® to life using LEGO® bricks. They will create their own world, including animals, creepers, and their very own Minecraft® character. 

 

Week 2: Snapology Favorites, $179

August 15-August 19, 9:00AM-12:00PM 

 

Campers will have a blast in this camp filled with popular Snapology workshops!  

 

Science of Slime - Campers will cultivate their love of science through hands-on experimentation with non-toxic chemistry. Campers will learn the basic science behind their favorite slimy polymer and how the magic is all in the ingredients.   

 

Fidget Spinners – This camp will teach campers how to make his or her own version of this popular toy and how to best use it in their day-to-day lives.  

 

Escape Snapology! Campers and their teammates will examine clues, solve puzzles, answer riddles, and decode secret messages to complete the task of unlocking the secrets to Escape Snapology!   

 

Week 2: Machines & Contraptions, $179

August 15-August 19, 1:00PM-4:00PM

 

This program gives campers the tools they need to understand mechanical movement and the importance of simple machines. They will see these moving parts up-close as they follow instructions to build various machines and contraptions, then use the models to develop new design ideas, test out physics concepts, and even play games with their partners and camp mates. 

 

 

Seacoast United Summer Skills Soccer Camp

 

June 11-15 AND August 15-19

Ages 6-14, (9:00AM-12:00PM and Location TBD) 

Preregistration required, $140 for the week

 

We are extremely excited to get back to normal this summer and being able to offer your child a chance to play, engage, learn and have fun on a brilliant week of soccer camp not once, but twice!!

 

Grassroots Soccer Program

 

June 11-15 AND August 15-19

Ages 2-5, (9:00AM-9:45AM and Location TBD) 

Preregistration required, $70 for the week

 

This program is a unique opportunity for young children to get involved in the game of soccer.  The overall theme is for children to relate having fun with playing soccer and to develop the necessary skills to be a competitive player in the future. 

 

 

American Dreams Stable- Horseback Riding Camp 

 

July 25-July 29

Ages 5-14, 8:00AM-5:00PM, 40 S Summer St., Nottingham NH 03290

Preregistration required, $320 for the week

 

American Dream Stables summer camp provides a full day, 8am-5pm, experience for campers to participate in activities with horses and to gain understanding about how to care for horses. Campers will learn the daily tasks for horse care including grooming, barn chores, tacking and feeding. In the afternoon campers will enjoy trail rides and have a horsemanship lesson. Bethany Maulchy (owner) and Emma Maulchy (lead trainer/instructor) both love focusing on campers having an overall great experience with horses.
